something
Casteldelpiano was born out of a passion for a region that has received and welcomed us, and by the energy surrounding a certain river, farm and castle that we discovered there. We are in Lunigiana, a frontier land, where age-old paths have been carved out by the feet of many travellers. Here, history, culture and life have intertwined, and we draw on all those experiences and rare fruits today. We passionately recovered the native vines, reviving the abandoned vineyards. To these we joined others who are well suited to the territory; Vermentino Nero, Pollera, Durella, Merla grapes are now integrated with Pinot Nero, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Merlot. We grow our vines organically, following a path, even in our personal life, of attention to the essence of things. In harmony with the rhythms of nature, we try to obtain grapes that, by natural methods, we can make into expressive and truly regional wine. We host curious travellers in an austere medieval castle, a small fortress overlooking the river.
