The abovementioned Marani was built in the early 20th century, in the marani, there are 24 Kvevri (The big Pottery, which is placed in the ground) which are made in 1900-1905 years. The uniqueness of the Marani is that the traditional Georgian method of wine making (6 month Maceration in Kvevri) hasn’t not been stopped here for more than a century. The Family has 2 H. vineyards of Gvinis tetri, Rkatsiteli and Saferavi varieties, which are looked after with Bio preparations (copper and sulfur), by members of family. Namely, the wine of “Lomtadze’s Marani“ is produced on the basis of the natural product. Our wish is to make our Marani and wine famous.
