Bodega Dos Buhos

I would like to believe that I chose Dos Buhos, but the truth is that the owls chose us, living in the trees next to our house and making their nests within the straw bales inside the barn; the same barn that was to become our wine tasting facility. I would like to believe that the buhos chose us due to our respect for nature, free to fly in and out of the barn at dusk thru a small hole, looking for food in the fertile land without fear of pesticides or chemicals. I would like to think that they adopted us for having organic crops, healthy and abundant where they could raise their young freely in an atmosphere that honors the earth. Even more, I would like to believe that what they saw in us were dreamers and pioneers and that they believed in our vision, knowing that one day our fields would be laden with abundant vineyards producing honest fruit, reflective of “terrior” and wines with a unique personality. This kinship with the owls is how we came to be known as Dos Buhos.
