The Amoreau family has been growing, producing and ageing wines using natural methods and by developing an ecosystem within the vineyard since 1610. The family is also the owner of Château Le Puy and is internationally renowned not only for the finesse and elegance of its wines, but also as being one of the pioneers of biodynamic growing and more recently, permaculture. Located on the same limestone plateau as Saint Emilion, and in the district of Puisseguin, Closerie Saint Roc benefits from ancestral growing and vinification methods which are entirely natural: harvesting by hand, care of the vines by plant concoction, fermentation by infusion with native yeasts and ageing in foudre casks for 24 months. The wine of Closerie Saint Roc is obtained without chaptalisation, fining or filtration.
