About
I started Cormorant Cellars in 2018. I was at a point in my career when it was time to go out on my own - make the wines I truly wanted to be a part of. Cormorant is full of art and old techniques of traditional winemaking. I focused on Sauvignon Blanc, one of my favorite varieties, for my first few vintages. Once Cormorant started growing, it was time to make a little Grenache Blanc, Merlot, and Gamay. These wines have been fun to make, but sharing them makes this industry so much fun. With each new wine, it is imperative for me to find sites that show promise for well-structured wines with nice acidity and complexity. .
