Grower, Maker

something

I am a French winegrower newly installed in Coteaux d'Ancenis (between Angers and Nantes, France). I am installed, concerning the cellar, on the north bank of the Loire, commune of Oudon (Loire Atlantique) and my vines are located on the hillsides of the south bank, commune of La Varenne (Maine et Loire). About 20 minutes from Nantes and 45 minutes from Angers. The grape varieties that I vinify are Gamay, Pinot Gris, Melon de Bourgogne (Muscadet) and Sauvignon Gris (Fief Gris). I work around 4.5 Ha of vines I am in a process of peasant agriculture, and more generally of natural wines (even if I do not forbid myself a slight addition of sulfur when necessary), the wines are unfiltered, vinified with indigenous yeasts and organic farming is, of course, prerequisite. The objective is to reduce inputs in the vineyard and in the cellar in order to be able to create lively, pleasant and digestible wines. I try to express the terroir as well as possible. I consider wine as a convivial product.
