Duoma Vinos

Eliecer Rodriguez & Carla Figueroa

Grower, Maker

something

We are a couple owned winery in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico. We are Eliecer Rodriguez and Carla Figueroa, both culinary school graduates and with a master in eonology and viticulture. Started Duoma in 2016 after working for some years in different wineries. Duoma means "duo de manos" (two hands) one for each of us, and also the hands as what is important in the field, the winery and the cellar. We think of wine as food, and as such you should take care of it from the very beggining, only adding what is necessary. We started using selected yeast and minimun dosage of sulfites, in 2019 we made our first Pet nats and since we've been working with a minimal intervention approach. From 2022 and on all our wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks or 500 lt barrel with native yeast, some are slightly filtered and with small amount of sulfites, our Pet nats are disgorged and have no sulfites. Currently making 4 red wines (nebbiolo, syrah, cabernet sauvignon, zinfandel) and 3 Pét nats (moscatel, grenache & grenache blanc rose and grenache blanc orange), but each year looking for opportunities to add something new, we've done some merlot, petit verdot Pét Nat, and sauvignon blanc.
