Fattoria Castellina

Fattoria Castellina is a biodynamic farm situated on the hills of Tuscany between Florence and Vinci in the area of Chianti Montalbano; it owns 110 hectares of land, included 10 hectares of vineyard and 30 hectares of olive grove. The remaining is forest of oak, maple, pine and arbutus trees typical from the mediterranean cost. Since 2004 it has been practicing biodynamic agriculture…The soil ever every year is enriched by biodiversity , seeding differents plants and distributing the biodynamic preparations to maintain and stimulate the soil’s natural fertility. In the winery, the grape is transformed with passion and without any sophistication through spontaneous fermentation and long maceration ; all is linked from centuries to the old olive growing culture. Fattoria Castellina is also Agriturismo and produce sustainable green energy with photovoltaic panels.
