About
Nikalas Marani is situated in the village of Kardenakhi, Gurjaani Region, Kakheti. Initially, Marani was built by Nikala Mgvdliashvili back in 1928. Almost century tradition of wine making still is being kept up by his successors, making natural Qvevri wines from various kinds of grapes (Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Mtsvane Kisi and Khikhvi). Vineyards are cultivated in the village of Kardenakhi, Tsarapi, Akhoebi, Zeda Akhoebi and Motskobili.
