Roca Viva Wines is joint venture between David Raya, Peter Freislederer and Finca La Donaira. The project was initiated in 2019 by David out of a passion for the recovery and regeneration of exceptional vineyards in Andalucia and the admiration of the world for natural wines. Today, Roca Viva Wines produces natural, clean and precise wines from different terroirs in Andalusia, from indigenous grapes, each with its own character and with an environmentally responsible approach to the vineyards, the soils and the people.
We work with different winegrowers in the areas of Malaga, Cadiz, Cordoba and Granada. All our vineyards are cultivated either biodinamically, regenerative or are in conversion. We do not use any pesticides, fungicides, herbicides or copper in the vineyard.
We currently produce different wines with grapes: Moscatel from Manilva, Malaga, Pedro Ximenez from Montilla, Cordoba, Palomino from Trebujena, Cadiz and Tempranillo, Jaen Blanco, Virjiriega, Jaen Tinto from the Alpujarra, Granada.
For all of our wines we do not add yeast, nor any other chemical or natural product, nor is anything extracted from the wine. We do not control temperature.
- All grapes are farmed organically and/or biodynamically.
- All grapes are dry-farmed. None of the vineyards are irrigated
- All grapes are harvested manually.
