Our vineyards and the cellar are situated in Samtavisi Village in Georgia’s Kartli region which is the second largest wine region in the country and prides itself with the longstanding winemaking tradition tracing to 6,000 B.C. We started our company with the aim to produce high quality natural wine using traditional Georgian methods. In 2012 we acquired a few hectares of land and since then we have been cultivating a variety of indigenous grapes, both white and red. In 2015 we built our first cellar and produced our first wine. Majority of our wine is made in a traditional Georgian way. This involves pressing the grapes and then pouring the juice with grape skins and stems into the Qvevri. Qvevri are clay vessels lined with beeswax and buried under the ground where the temperature stays even throughout the year, allowing the wines to ferment in the natural coolness of the earth for five to six months. In 2018 we built a new cellar with a capacity of about 20000 litres where our wines are fermented and aged in traditional Qvevri as well as in high-quality stainless-steel vessels. Our cellar is situated in the centre of our vineyards which minimizes transportation and temperature damage to the grapes. We produce natural unfiltered wine in its purest form. The grapes are naturally grown and no artificial additives are added to the wine.
