Svetlik

Our 1.5 hectars vineyard of Rebula grows on the south facing slope of Čaven, above the village of Kamnje, (25° slope) on one of the highest among the Vipava region (310–370 a.s.l.).

We work in a nature-friendly way and the grass around the vines is mulched and scythed manually. We use no herbicides, insecticides or chemical products.

Harvest for us is a feast because our friends and their families come and join us helping us harvest the ripe grapes by hand. 

The vinification is based on an over 200-year tradition, the wine is enriched by allowing the fermentation of the must together with the grape skins and it is fermented solely by yeasts developed on grapes, no foreign or selected yeasts are added and it ages in oak barrels and bottled with no filtration.
