Vega Aixalà

We are a familar winery in Vilanova de Prades (Tarragona – Catalonia -Spain). We recovered a vineyard from my granfather and planted 10 Ha of vineyards literaly on the mountains starting our dream in 2003. Our vineyards are placed at 900 meters of alttitud, the terroir is slate rock and the weather is dry. The region is la Conca de Barberà in its edge. The mountain you can see in the background of this photo is the Montsant. We work our vineyards in the organic way and in our wines there is nothing added. Just fermented grape juice! Because of the alttitude, the slate of the terroir and the weather, our wines have structure and feel very fresh because of the alttitude where the vineyards are placed. Our grape varieties: Garnatxa Blanca, albarinho, roussanne, riesling, pinot noir, carignan, syrah, garnatxa negra, tempranillo and marselan.
